Hi, my name is Laura Ledbetter and I am a recent graduate of Pennsylvania State University.  I grew up in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and upon graduating Council Rock North High School went on to study graphic design at Tyler School of Art at Temple University, Philadelphia.  After COVID-19 sent me home from school in March 2020 I decided to fulfill some of my general education requirements at Bucks County Community College as opposed to trying to do art school online.  I returned to in-person classes in September 2021 before realizing graphic design was not my passion.  I took some time off from school before ultimately transferring to Pennsylvania State University and pursuing a degree in Technical Theatre with an emphasis in Scenic Design.  My second year at Penn State I received a show assignment to work in the prop shop on “Tartuffe.”  It was then that I discovered my love for props.  I have experience in carpentry, upholstery, hand-lettering, mold-making, welding, painting, sewing, color mixing, model making, Photoshop, and more. This year I hope to find an apprenticeship or entry level position to learn more about props and gain insight from seasoned professionals.  Just because I am done school now doesn’t mean I am done learning.  Looking forward to what the future holds!
